VIDEO: Monkey Bites Officer at T-Stop

A trained monkey pounced on the hand of an Aransas Pass (Texas) Police officer as he moved to get a signature from a traffic violator at a Wednesday traffic stop.

Officer Keith Moore was asking the driver of a truck to sign the citation, when a monkey riding behind the driver's seat jumped toward the officer's hand and bit it. The encounter was captured on a TASER Axon Flex system.

The rookie officer was startled, and his sergeant said he thought Officer Moore had been stung by a bee, reports KRIS. The monkey performs for onlookers at local carnivals.

"Watch Out For The Monkeys, They Bite - Dennis Hopper in Appocolypse Now.

Oh Great... Just one more thing you have to watch out for on a traffic stop.

I hope they impounded the monkey and had it checked for all of the regular monkey animal diseases. Rabies, Distemper, AIDS etc.

At least the monkey didn't try to Pee or thow Poo at the officer.

Well, doesn't look like the monkey was that angry if it just left "a mark" on Officer Moores hand. And all things considered, I'd rather be nipped by a monkey then some of the other animals, two legged type, that one encounters on the road. Blues, Stay Safe.
