VIDEO: Dash Cam Captures Okla. Tornado

A Moore (Okla.) Police Department cruiser captured the approaching tornado that struck the area on May 20 as Sgt. Mark Snavely looked for distressed residents.

The Moore PD released the footage Thursday, and Sgt. Snavely told KFOR he knew there would be "heavy destruction" as he watched the tornado's approach.

Sgt. Snavely moved his car several times. In the last view of the approaching storm, the video system captured power lines flashing before him as the tornado crosses Santa Fe and into the neighborhoods where both Briarwood and Plaza Towers Elementary schools once stood.
