Accused Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev has told FBI investigators that he and his brother were operating alone and did not receive assistance from outside terrorist groups, officials said Tuesday.

A team of federal agents peppered the 19-year-old with questions about the Boston Marathon bombing plot on Monday shortly before a federal magistrate read the charges against him and gave him the Miranda warning informing him of his constitutional right against self-incrimination.

Tsarnaev remains in a Boston hospital, where his condition on Tuesday was upgraded to fair.

I hope the investigation into this question of outside help is not based solely on what this suspect says. Obama still refuses to acknowledge the fact that this was an islamic terrorist attack on our nation.

If you really think this Punk, is telling the police/FBI the truth then I have water front property in Arizona to sell you. This dirt bag is trying to save his butt from being classified as a war criminal.

I find this very hard to believe. I think the brother got outside help from a group in the USA. The younger brother did not always shadow his older brother. The older brother went overseas and probably made initial contact with a terrorist group and came home with a contact and plan. Besides do you really think the Feds are going to tell the entire story to the media. Personally, the Administration wants to capture and interrogate terrorist to figure out how they operate. More of our tax payer dollars wasted and of course we just lost more of our freedom. Everytime a terrorist penetrates this country with sucess we lose little more of our freedom. Millions will be spent on this idea. My idea is close the borders to these people Yes, profile this surely adds to the problems with the new and improved Immirgration Bill.

It is way too soon to say something like this...There appears to be a lot of misinformation and disconnects and everything that is said needs to be either founded/or unfounded through follow-up investigation (Checks and balances). Never stop connecting - politically-driven decisions have no place here (but I know they are many times)...Timelines...Identity-power and personal beliefs, behaviors-profiles (BSU) etc...Many times they are hiding in plain sight everyday life...We do owe our citizens of our country nothing less!

Morning Eagle @ 4/23/2013 10:50 PM

Well then, this development certainly means we can stop wasting time investigating that angle. After all, we know that innocent looking little kid would never lie just to cover his back trail of involvement with anyone else, let alone any connections with those nasty terrorists. Anyway, obama apparently doesn't believe they would actually dare to attack us right here at home. I mean, especially after he has made so many offers of friendship and given them billions of American tax dollars along with some very sophisticated arms to assure them of his sincere desire to get along peacefully. To make the sheep feel safer we should pass more laws even though they do chip away at the few freedoms our own citizens still have. Meanwhile we can continue to refuse to enforce the immigration laws we already have that would go far toward actually securing our borders by keeping people out who have no right to be here in the first place even if it does hurt their sensitive little feelings. But wait, this whole situation can be resolved without strife if we grant the tens of millions already here a general amnesty disguised as immigration reform and allow them to bring in all the relatives they want to so they too can share in the American Dream without having to worry about trying to dodge those mean Border Patrol and ICE agents. If some of them happen to have terroristic intentions we can simply label them as ordinary criminals and poof, our terrorist troubles disappear like a puff of smoke on the wind. Well not quite says the director of DHS because we still have to deal with extreme right wing Christians, Veterans, ones who believe we are being taxed too heavily, silly people that still think they have a right to bear arms, and all others that oppose going where their king wants to “lead” them. Sorry folks, the older I get the more sarcastic, and disgusted, I become.

My feeling exactly Morning Eagle! DaveS55 I worked for the USG and the whole truth and nothing but the truth never comes out. The USG capturing and interrogating these terrorists is not a "way to soon to say something like this"statement, its a fact. This is the USG's new approach. The dreaded Drone strikes did not provide any intel. My new approach is wake-up Washington and close the borders and find out who is exactly in our country. Who the heck is protecting us? We now have Terrorists knocking on our door this was nothing more than a test. They are making progress at a snails pace but they don't care this plan has been in place since the 40's. Besides we always invited people over to house for dinner that want to kill us! May I suggest reading Looming Towers, Author L. Wright.

What do we know? A foreign intelligence service spotted the guy and suggested investigation. There was overseas travel. He had the internet. The method of attack was published in inspire magazine. If you connect those dots ........
