Gang's Wanted Poster Calls for Death of NYPD Cops

March 19, 2013  |

A New York City gang clique distributed a fake wanted poster on a social media site calling for the deaths of two NYPD officers who shot and killed Brooklyn teen Kimani Gray on March 9.

The wanted-poster photo, which appeared on social-media site Instagram, featured pictures of Sgt. Mourad Mourad and Officer Jovaniel Cordova above the caption, "50z want these pigs heads." 50z is a gang subset.

A user going by the handle "safjcrossfit" encourages the cops' would-be killers to "empty the clip on umm," reports the New York Post. The officers have been given police radios to take home.

The shooting of Gray has raised the ire of protesters, who took to the streets of Brooklyn last week to battle NYPD officers. Gray was shot seven times, including three in the back, after he reportedly pointed a weapon at the officers. Gray's .38-caliber revolver was recovered from the scene.

Gray has also been linked to the Bloods street gang.

The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on desk duty during the investigation. They have been named in five previous civil-rights lawsuits. Settlements were paid in the amount of $215,000 in those cases with no admission of wrongdoing by the city, reports the New York Daily News.

Hey bloomberg why go after law abiding citizens. Go after the hardcore criminals you POS

Jim A @ 3/19/2013 6:38 PM

This is exactly like yelling FIRE in a theater or inciting a riot. This gang, and the particular gang member named, is criminally and civilly responsible if the officers get hurt or killed.

It wasnt until last year that I was told by the DAs office that I (officers) could be victims of Criminal Threats (CA Penal Code 422) This sounds like a solid case for these types of charges

This country is starting to look and act more like Mexico every day. Bloomberg jump your on box and take a stand on a subject that will destroy this country, Gang Violence!

I'm sorry, but a "gang subset"? Don't you mean "gutter crawling rat turds"? My apologies to the rats. As for the three in the back, it ha already been proven in court that a pos that turns to run, after throwing rounds at an Officer, can substain wounds in the back and still be a good shoot. If NYPD had any balls it would start posting pics of these little turds throughout the city with "wanted for threating a Police Officer with death". Or even better, tell the mayor(?) their packing 24oz soft drinks!! He'll call in the Feds. Blues, stay safe.

Bob , you seem like a good person, ...I will never go to nanny state new York , because of p.o.s situations like that, if there was a wanted dead sign for peace officers in Texas, my God those thugs would be lucky with just broken teeth , loosing there lunch, and a cell mate, I'm just finding out what police really go threw, debating about having fund raiser for the UN corrupt ones where I reside.
