VIDEO: Wrong-Way Pursuit In S.C.
Kershaw County (S.C.) Sheriff's deputies arrested a career criminal following a high-speed pursuit through two counties that began when the suspect fled a traffic stop.
The incident began with deputies pulled over a Dodge Charger with driver Jametrice Jacobs and passenger Clinton Harris. When deputies gave Harris a pat-down search, he resisted and jumped back in the car. Deputies attempted to TASER Harris, who got behind the wheel and took off, reports WLXT.
Harris exited I-20 at the SC 341 exit, crossed over SC 341 and got back onto I-20. Seeing that the road ahead was blocked by Lee County Sheriff's deputies, Harris turned around, drove against traffic on I-20, and then drove the wrong way up the exit ramp onto SC 341.
He rammed Lee County and Kershaw County patrol cars before he was surrounded and taken into custody at a gas station near the exit.
