VIDEO: DUI Teen Strikes Fla. Trooper
A Florida Highway Patrol trooper arrested a University of Central Florida student who fled after she struck him while driving drunk.
Gina Garcia-Ronquillo, 18, has been charged with leaving the scene of an accident and DUI property damage. Trooper Josh Evans was investigating another crash on Sunday, when Ronqullio struck his cruiser, which struck the trooper in the leg.
The trooper then pursued Garcia-Ronquillo and performed a PIT Maneuver that spun her vehicle into a tree in a median.
The teenager said she had been at the university watching a film about boy band One Direction and had only drank orange juice. She told the officer she was "a good person, a Christian, she was in college and had a good GPA."
She then told the officer he should be "out catching real criminals," reports the Daily Mail.
