Four Dead In Calif. Carjackings, Shootings

February 19, 2013  |

A man suspected in a series of shootings across Orange County, Calif., that left four people dead and at least two others wounded on Tuesday apparently approached one of his victims after a vehicle he carjacked ran out of gas, authorities said.

Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna said the suspect stole the vehicle from a gas station near Red Hill Avenue and the 5 Freeway in Tustin, but apparently picked one that had not been filled. When the vehicle ran out of gas at about 5:15 a.m., the man stopped near the 55 Freeway and McFadden Avenue and approached a BMW.

"He got out of the vehicle, confronts our victim who is in his BMW," Bertagna said. "He orders him out of the vehicle, walks him to the curb and executes our victim."

Expect more stories like this from CA; out here the criminals and cops carry the guns and the private citizens are pretty much disarmed. The dem governor and dem controlled legislature outlawed the open carry of UNLOADED pistols and long guns, saying that it would make the state safer. In the meantime, LE agencies are being cut drastically, criminals are getting court ordered early release and crime is increasing. All the while, unarmed citizens are being victimized.

Here's another reason why California should issue concealed carry permits! Death occurs in seconds, while the cops arrives in minutes - if they arrive at all, and if you have a chance to call.

One motorist who was murdered at the side of the road must have thought that he would be ok if he just let the carjacker have his car without offering any resistance. Unfortunately for him that theory did not hold water.

Democrats want you to believe they support human rights. The most fundamental human right should be the right to defend yourself and you family against criminals. Have you ever noticed how eager Democrat and R.I.N.O. legislators are in creating anti gun laws that affect responsible adults, while refusing to provide the resources to investigate, charge and house (if convicted) career criminals?

Lenny @ 2/19/2013 6:57 PM

Where are the helicopters, armored personnel carriers, and half of the combined police forces of California? Oh wait the police haven't lost anyone. But I'm sure they will get around to investigating this.

CDN LEO @ 2/20/2013 2:21 AM

Lenny its pretty easy to sit back and thrash the police. Lets see you strap on the hardware and do a better job. Better yet, stay home with your helmet on so you don't hurt yourself, you Liberal whiner.

Ima Leprechaun @ 2/20/2013 4:06 AM

Probably right up until he pulled the trigger the suspect was fully licensed to carry a gun and is a paid member of the NRA in good standing.

Ima Leprechaun @ 2/20/2013 4:51 AM

I'm sorry, just ignore everything I'm saying because I'm a pretentious prick.

Dan B @ 2/20/2013 7:16 AM

Obviously, Lenny, you are not a cop. That was below a cheap shot. You don't have a fricking clue!

JP @ 2/20/2013 7:17 AM

You really don't know the outcome of most carjackings. I would always think just speed off if you are in your car. I have a permit to carry a gun for protection and I will not hesitate to use it.
