12-Year-Old Convicted of Murdering His Father

A 12-year-old Southern California boy has been convicted of second-degree murder for shooting and killing his neo-Nazi father as the man slept, reports the Examiner. The judge said she believes the boy, who was 10 when the crime was committed, understood his actions and sought to end the abuse inflicted by his father.

The boy could spend 10 years in a juvenile detention center. His sentence will be announced next month.
