Gunman Wounds 3 at Alabama Hospital

Birmingham (Ala.) Police shot and killed a man who had just shot and wounded a police officer and two employees at St. Vincent's Hospital on Saturday.
The incident occurred at 4 a.m. on the fifth floor of the facility, reports WJLA.com. Jason Letts, 38, shot the officer and two employees as they were exiting an elevator. A second police officer came around the corner and fatally shot the suspect, reports Fox News Alabama.
The injuries to the first police officer and hospital staff members were not life-threatening.
Police are investigating the motive for the shooting and why the suspect was in the hospital. Video surveillance footage is being reviewed.
