High School Student Shoots Self in Police Car

December 05, 2012  |

A student from Houston's North Shore Senior High School shot himself in the head while handcuffed in a police car.

Police were responding to a call on Wednesday from the school regarding a report of a handgun, reports NBC News. The student was searched and handcuffed, but he still had a gun. He then shot himself.

The unidentified student was taken to a local hospital where officials say he is conscious.

So police respond to a gun on campus call, locate a student who they search and handcuff but miss finding his concealed gun. Definitely a major oh-oh. You think somebody needs to re-take Search 101?
