VIDEO: SD Cop Drags Woman Away from Fire
The San Diego Police Department launched an internal investigation after one of the agency's officers was captured on video dragging a distraught woman by her hair away from her house as it became engulfed in flames.
Officer Dan McLaughlin can be seen pulling Torazzi Hayslett away from firefighters who were trying to keep her away from her home in Nestor, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.
In the video shot by a reporter for Imperial Beach Patch, Hayslett is seen grabbing a fire truck and then striking the officer twice in the face as he tried to pull her from the scene.
The officer then grabs her by the hair and pulls her away from her husband, who also tried to restrain her in the middle of the street.
