Memphis Cop Arrested for Sex Trafficking
September 18, 2012
|
Federal agents have arrested a Memphis (Tenn.) Police officer and charged him with running an intra-state prostitution ring.
Officer Sean McWhirter was arrested Sunday and charged with transportation of women in interstate commerce for prostitution. Bail was set at $10,000. The officer, who has served since 2007, was relieved of duty with pay, reports the Commercial Appeal.
The FBI began investigating Officer McWhirter in May 2011 when an informant reported that the officer was frequenting clubs known for drug use and prostitution.
The informant offered McWhirter $120 to bring three women to a party in Tunica to perform sex acts. He was arrested when he showed up.

As police officers here in CA realize that the state is bankrupt and their pensions have vaporized, I expect that more corruption will occur. I pray that I'm wrong, but a financial collapse has been predicted by many experts and that will open the door for more corruption.
