Deputy's Killers Post Death Photos On Billboard

September 05, 2012  |

A pair of Tennessee brothers who killed two law enforcers in 2006 have posted photos of their bullet-riddled corpses on billboards near the roadway leading to their farmhouse.

Roane County Sheriff's Deputy Bill Jones and ride-along Mike Brown, a retired deputy, were fatally shot May 11, 2006 by Rocky Joe and Leon Houston in a shoot-out. Jones died with 19 gunshot wounds, Brown with 12. Several attempts to prosecute the brothers ended in mistrials.

"This ain't nothing complicated," Rocky Houston told the Knoxville News Sentinel. "It's real simple. We fear for our lives and our family's lives, and we will continue to defend our lives."

It seems that America and American principles are going down the tubes. One of the first manifestations of that trend is a lack of respect for authority and authority figures. Law enforcement is a dangerous work and is going to get worse! Deputies Jones and Brown case is a "heads-up" moment. Stay aware and sharp LEO friends. This is going to be a very rough ride...

I agree with you on this one, it seams that the "ME" generation has little or no respect for authority or law enforcement. I see in almost every traffic stop or contact with police by young adults. It started with parents that did not know how to say no to their kids, and then these kids grew up to be what we call adults, which now has no discipline or respect. This will be the downfall of America and the human race. Where is the true value for human life... Be safe LEO…

Not too much to worry for that much longer. The sorts in the story have no idea the level of violence half a nation of the civil can unleash when awakened from their sleep and their tolerance evaporates. Doubt some of us will be around to see it, hope for the best for our kids.

TIme to 'Magnum Force' their ass. If you know what I mean

First impression was what was wrong with the prosecutors until reading the KN Sentinel article and comments by local readers. So the brothers claim they knew the two officers came out to kill them and they were just defending themselves. Supposedly the jury hung because the DA couldn't prove who fired first but apparently both officers were shot to death in their vehicle, one 19 times and the other 12 times while one brother took a bullet in the buttocks. Self defense? BS! Sounds like ambush for the express purpose of murder. Looks more like prosecutors were up against utterly stupid and/or afraid good old boy jury members not wanting to convict any of their own. Evil will win whenever men do not have the courage to condemn it.

I really hope these FU-KING POS die.............This is the most unbelievable story I have ever heard. These Prosecutors should be fired due to their lack of skills and ability to prosecute this case properly. After the first BS trial, this case should have been moved to another place in the state where these POS would have received what they really deserved.......... The Death Sentence. These are some truly fuc-ked up people.

Firecop @ 9/7/2012 4:43 AM

This nation has turned into a mass of angry and mostly selfish people who could care less about one another. I'm deathly afraid that this November we'll accept the status quo and things will continue to spiral down the toilet. I have a new grand daughter who is the most precioius little thing I've known in a while. It tears me apart to think of what kind of world we are allowing to develop for her generation. It's time to take back the streets and that starts with the right vote this November. Be safe.

Dan @ 9/7/2012 7:07 AM

To Michael: Watch your mouth! We know these things happen as often with a screwed up jury as anything. You automatically assume everyone in the Prosecutor's Office is worthless. The Houston's will eventually get what they deserve and then they can rot in hell!

michael @ 9/7/2012 2:50 PM

To Dan: Watch your mouth Sir, I'm free to express myself here unless I have lost that right too. First, I did not say the Prosecutors Office should be fired, just the Lawyers who did a Sh-ty job presenting the states case. Obviously, The Houston's are NUTS and they intimidate all by their actions. If we all thought like you, then these AH's would just keep running around doing whatever they want until they" got what they deserve". I would like to expedite their trip to hell, these POS don't deserve to breath......they completely discuss me. If society allows this kind of crap to continue then you may get your wish.

Bman @ 9/12/2012 8:07 AM

This is completely pathetic. I hope this is used against them in their next trial. I wouldnt mind seeing these very same brothers hanging from said billboard. Im surprised it hasnt already happened.
