An off-duty DeKalb County (Ga.) Police officer working a security detail shot and killed a man who opened fire in a crowded bar Saturday night.
The gunman, whose identity has not been released, opened fire at the Trebol Billiards Bar on Buford Highway around 11:30 p.m. after an argument involving a woman, reports WSB-TV.
The off-duty officer called for backup. A second officer arrived just as one of the patrons involved in the argument started to fire a gun. Four patrons were injured, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

What a hero this off-duty officer is. This is why I feel safer having law abiding citizens able to carry guns. Imagine the possible death toll if this officer wasn't at the bar packing his gun.

Exactly why CCW is so important. If we outlaw guns only outlaws will be armed. We can't pass enough legislation to stop people bent on committing acts of violence, but we can prepare for the fight and win the battles we face.
