VIDEO: Ill. Cop Shoots Man Who Didn't 'Put It Down'
A Belleville (Ill.) Police officer fatally shot a 19-year-old who police said had a weapon and didn't heed an officer's repeated instructions to "Put it down."
The incident began when Belleville officers responded to a disturbance at Foley's Tavern near West Main Street around 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. Two intoxicated men were kicking cars and trying to damage a window, reports KMOV.
An officer fatally shot the teen after a foot pursuit. The encounter was partially captured in a blurry cell-phone video clip posted online by KMOV.
