The notebooks in the shirt pocket of a New Britain (Conn.) Police Department officer blocked the blade of a knife from a suspect who also stabbed another officer during a domestic disturbance call.
The two officers responded to the 60 Charlene Drive home of Christopher Denigris at 2:15 a.m. Sunday. Officers saw Denigris assaulting his 48-year-old wife, reports the Hartford Courant.
Denigris was arrested after he crashed a stolen police cruiser. Bail was set at $2 million.
