Orange County prosecutors showed new footage of the fatal beating of a homeless man by Fullerton Police Department officers during a preliminary hearing for the officers.
The new video, which comes from a bus depot camera, shows the initial confrontation, as Officers Manuel Ramos, Joseph Wolfe, and Jay Cicinelli approach Kelly Thomas.
The grainy video captures Thomas being detained by Ramos and Wolfe. Thomas is uncooperative and Ramos appears to grow angry. Ramos is seen putting on a pair of latex gloves and threateneing to "f**k you up" with "my fists."
The officers can be seen kneeing and striking Thomas, who cries for help. Court testimony showed that Thomas died from a crushed windpipe.
