Off-Duty Denver Cop Fatally Shoots Ex-Con at Church
April 25, 2012
|
An off-duty Denver Police officer fatally shot a career criminal at an Aurora church, after the suspect shot his aunt.
Officer Antonio Milow, a congregant at Destiny Christian Center, was attending services on Sunday, when 29-year-old Kiarron Parker shot and killed 67-year-old Josephine Echols in the parking lot.
Parker was released from jail in October 2011 in Oklahoma, after he served time for assault and battery of a police officer and multiple burglary counts, reports 9 News.

Well, Officer Milow, you did a good job. It's too bad this poor lady had to die. But who knows how many more could have been injured or killed by this POS.

I am glad you (Officer Milow) were armed and ready even at a house of worship.

It still amazes me the number of off duty officers that refuse to carry off duty. You may be called into duty at any time and any place (including church). Officer Milow job well done.

It pays to be prepared. This proves it can happen anywhere. Stay Safe and watch your six.

That's what concealed carry is all about, but it shouldn't be just for LEO's. Citizens in CA, NY and other states that don't have 'shall issue' laws need to demand their rights back from the politicians.

Very glad you were there and armed so that you could protect the rest of the congregation from this waste of DNA. Sorry for your Aunt who was killed but at least you know he paid for that crime immediately. Good job.

Used to fuss about my po friend taking his gun with him everywhere we went, even to dinner
Never again will i do that........
Good for him and wish so much the aunt had survived
Way too many pos on the street nowadays

Rick, i disagree with u
If everyone started carrying guns, we would be right back to the wild wild west
Even army guys who are trained to carry them kill their wives and an ex sherrif just shot at his estranged wife and tried to kidnap her at a bar
The guns are better left at home when tempers flare and leave the gun toting to pos and other pp who are trained to use them with
discretion, not in temper

God bless the Officer! And very sorry for your loss! I am an LEO and a Christian! I used to wrestle with the quandry of taking a weapon in to church, but after the Colorado church shooting, I do not. 24/7 365! Side arm, extra magazines, good knife, handcuffs, cell phone and a bright handheld light. The world is kooky place and there are goblins everywhere!
Most respectfully
