Fla. Deputy Fired for Visiting Strip Clubs On Duty

April 25, 2012  |

The Broward Sheriff's Office fired one of its deputies who ignored radio calls while visiting strip clubs on duty.

Dep. Erik Knutsen, who was let go in February, visited The Booby Trap, The Cheetah III, or sometimes the late-hours Allstar's while in uniform. He later lied on reports about visiting the clubs, reports the Sun-Sentinel.

"I'm not a bad person,'' Knutsen told BSO investigators in a sworn statement. "I just sometimes do dumb things.''

"I just sometimes do dumb things." He's got a gift for understatement.

He needs to be doing dumb things while working the morning shift at McDonald's. How did he ever slip through the hiring process????
