VIDEO: Fla. Trooper Arrests Miami Cop at Gunpoint
The Miami Police officer who was caught doing more than 100 mph on the Florida Turnpike by a Highway Patrol trooper accepted a plea deal in court on Thursday.
Fausto Lopez pled no contest to a reckless driving charge; a misdemeanor which is punishable by up to 90 days in jail.
Lopez was ordered to pay the costs of prosecution, $3,300, and perform 100 hours of community service. He will not have to serve any jail time or probation.
