Three men pleaded guilty on Thursday to charges of trafficking high-powered rifles and other guns to Mexico from Arizona under the botched "Fast and Furious" federal sting operation tied to the murder of a U.S. federal agent.

Jaime Avila Jr., Joshua David Moore and Kenneth James Thompson were among a ring of 20 defendants charged with buying and running high-powered firearms including Kalashnikov-type assault rifles, 5.7mm pistols and Barrett sniper rifles to the Mexican cartels.

The purchases were made in the Phoenix area from 2009 to 2010 when a bungled U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives operation sought to determine how guns were being smuggled to Mexican drug cartels.

Attorney General Eric Holder needs to resign from his position. He is nothing but a scam artist, who has lied to Congress.

808 @ 4/9/2012 5:35 PM

Who are these subjects named ? Are they part of the ATF ? I hope Holder is next.

gp cobb @ 4/9/2012 7:11 PM

808: Holder should have been first, YMMV

DEADMAN @ 4/10/2012 2:06 AM

Holder should be tried for Terry's murder along with the 300 Mexicans, the man is as dirty as you can get,he should never see daylight.

Frank @ 4/10/2012 1:08 PM

I agree, what about Holder the snake? Remember this when it comes time to vote. The Obama Administration is just like the Clinton Administration they both dislike the US Military and Law Enforcement. How the people get inoffice is beyond me. No wonder House Hunters International is such a popular program. Time for dual citizenship.

Clif @ 4/10/2012 1:54 PM

AKs and FN 57 pistols are not "high powered weapons" My hunting rifle is more powerful number one.
Number two these guys are just the fall guys to take attention away from the ATF scum that really committed and encouraged these crimes. Eric Holder needs to go, Obama needs to go, all the ATF chronies that got PROMOTED after the Terry shooting that have said NOTHING need to get fired and CHARGED for murdering federal agents and Mexican nationals!

CO Cop @ 4/11/2012 7:54 AM

Now, now, now, you heard AG Holder say that if you criticize him, "you're a racist"

ROB ROY SELF @ 4/11/2012 8:00 PM

Why hasn't the one's responsible for this been chsrged yet. e. holder we all know him and his boss are behind this mess.

Fed Cop @ 5/15/2012 6:59 AM

I love the picture. Looks like a Gotti testimony. Anyway - "It's Bush's fault"
