VIDEO: Teen Escapes Station During Booking
The fatal shooting of a Garfield, N.J., teenager in December began when the teen ran from the station while officers processed him for booking.
Garfield officers caught up with Malik Williams, 19, in the garage of a home at 22 Dahnarts Park Lane on Dec. 10. Williams was fatally shot as many as five times, after allegedly threatening the officers with multiple objects.
Sgt. Jose A. Brito, a 12-year veteran of the force, fired three shots at Williams. Brito and another officer from the Bergen County Police Department, Kenneth J. Keenan, both fired on Williams, reports NJ.com.

Great job, guys. Hopefully this makes the department implement new training procedures and an electronic lock system in the booking room. This was careless.
