A former Modesto police officer was arrested Thursday after detectives say he "committed criminal sexual violations against an adult female" while on duty in early January, reports the Modesto Bee.
Lee Freddie Gaines II was arrested at his Modesto home and, after a brief court appearance, was booked at the Stanislaus County Jail. Gaines had worked for the department for five years before he was "separated from employment" with the department Feb. 10.
Gaines faces felony charges of oral copulation by force, violence, duress or fear of bodily injury; being armed with a firearm in the commission of a sexual offense, and a felony sex offense enhancement.

There have been far too many instances like this and it has to stop and stop now! Bring back the high standards that used to be in place prior to 'affirmative action'. Police Officers should be the best of the best, subjected to lie detectors, written and oral exams as well as psych exams and then trained as a LEO and even then made to serve the probationary period. Bring back the professional!
