Mo. Trooper Expected To Fully Recover from Shooting

A Missouri State Highway Patrol trooper who was struck by gunfire from a car-load of narcotics suspects returned fire, killing one and wounding a second suspect.
Corporal Shane Stewart was struck in the neck after he and a partner pulled over a red SUV at 10 p.m. Saturday that was heading north on Interstate 55 in New Madrid County, reports KFVS.
The three suspects arrested following the gunfire have been charged with second-degree murder, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.
