Mass. Sgt. Fatally Shoots Cop, Kills Self

The Essex district attorney's office is now investigating the motive of a Hamilton police sergeant who fatally shot a Beverly police officer while off duty, then killed himself.
Sgt. Ken Nagy, 43, met Officer Jason Lantych, 35, Friday afternoon at a Starbucks coffee house on Enon Street in Beverly, which is north of Salem. Sgt. Nagy fatally shot Lantych, and returned to the Starbucks at 10:30 p.m. to kill himself.
The motive behind the shooting has not been revealed, reports the Boston Globe.
