Fla. Detective Killed In Narcotics Raid
February 17, 2012
|
A Clay County (Fla.) Sheriff's Office narcotics detective was killed and a second detective wounded during a gunfight Thursday night at a home on Alligator Boulevard in Middleburg.
Another man was also killed during a raid at a confirmed meth lab, reports the Florida Times-Union.
The dead officer was David White, a nine-year veteran who was investigating a tip about a meth lab at the home. The search did not require a warrant because one or more of the men were living illegally in the home as "squatters," without permission of the owner.
