Calif. Bill Would Alter 'Three Strikes' Law

A bill passed by the California Assembly Monday would alter the "three strikes" law to require that the third strike be a serious or violent felony, reports the Sacramento Bee.
Assembly Bill 327 would also make exceptions for offenders whose previous crimes included murder, a sex crime against a child, a sexually violent offense, or other heinous acts.
