Mark Rivera, Customer Retention Manager and CJIS Security Compliance Officer with Vigilant Solutions, served for sixteen years with the Maryland State Police, retiring at the rank of First Sergeant with thirteen of those years at the supervisory and command level. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Management from The Johns Hopkins University and Secret clearance through the FBI, Baltimore.

Nevada C.O. Dies After Inmate Assault

Nevada Correctional Officer Tracy Hardin suffered a heart attack after struggling with an inmate at the High Desert State Prison, reports ODMP.

Officer Hardin was speaking to the inmate about disciplinary issues when the inmate assaulted him. During the ensuing struggle Officer Hardin injured his ankle. He later died from a heart attack.

The cause of death has not been verified. The Nevada Department of Corrections is awaiting the results of the medical examiner's investigation, Steven Suwe, public information officer, wrote in an e-mail to POLICE Magazine.

May I hope the inmate is now facing new charges of assault on an Officer & second degree murder?

that is sad but seen like the inmate is always wrong no matter what,god calls the shots on who number is up,people get shot in the head a live
