Secret Service Investigates Cop's Image of Shot Obama T-Shirt

January 27, 2012  |

The Secret Service is investigating an image posted online showing several young Arizona men in the desert holding a bullet-ridden T-shirt with President Obama's face.

The image was initially posted Jan. 20 on the Facebook page of Sgt. Pat Shearer of the Peoria (Ariz.) Police Department. Sgt. Shearer is a decorated officer who was honored in 2007 for helping to save a driver trapped in a burning vehicle, reports the New York Times.

The image has since been taken down, but can be viewed on the Democratic Underground website.

Stupid! We all know better especially Law Enforcement. We may not agree with the man's politics but I'm surprised to see an LEO involved.

cap manuel @ 1/30/2012 8:25 PM

Stupid...disrespectful...stupid...

If he would of had bush face on there ...i could understand ...the one eho is largely responsible for the bad condition the usa is in...not the black guy that inherited the mess

Don @ 1/30/2012 9:38 PM

Still a bit of freedom of speech, regardless of how tasteless it is. Cap manual....so placing Bush's photo on the shirt would have been ok, but not a sitting president? It would be tasteless regardless, but still freedom of speech as long as the officer is not advocating an actual act.

Frank @ 1/31/2012 4:20 AM

This is not and should not be the actions of a person representing the Law Enforcement. Period You took an oath remember! No wonder LEO's are loosing the respect of the citizens. Every day you put that uniform on be proud or get the hell out of law enforcement.

T.M.F. @ 1/31/2012 6:09 AM

cap manuel you are a MORON (in caps), a hypocrite and what are you doing on a police web site anyway. You sound like every other liberal idiot and I'm sure you have no facts to base your comment.

steve @ 1/31/2012 7:45 AM

I have MORE respect for our LEO's because of this . it shows they aren't brain-dead liberal retards like cap manuel and frank.
And to the police department responsible i'd like to say I SUPPORT YOUR RIGHT TO THE FREEDOM OF SPEECH !

JimVG @ 1/31/2012 9:54 AM

Hey cap manuel...what did you do with your stimulus check?

Give me a break, the subject in the WH now had done more to screw up this country than any other president in history. I especially like how he honors LEOs. Check out the photos of his campaign stop in Chicago when his people placed portable toilets on the fallen police officer memorial. I'll take back either Bush before this Muslim lovin apoligist. I know this is not the place for politcal ranting, but I think I'm in the majority here.

Frank @ 1/31/2012 10:24 AM

Steve, Far from brain dead and certainly not a liberal! Sure you are on the right page here?
