Minn. Cop Shot In Head Succumbs To Injuries

The small southeastern Minnesota town of Lake City is in mourning this weekend over the death of police officer Shawn Schneider, shot in the head early last week during a domestic call.
A spokeswoman from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester said Schneider died about 5:30 p.m. Friday at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, reports the Star Tribune.
Schneider, 32, a nine-year veteran of the Lake City Police Department and a father of three young children, and a well-known figure in the picturesque river town of 5,000, was shot in the head while responding to a domestic dispute on the morning of Dec. 19.
Officer Schneider was shot by 25-year-old Alan J. Sylte Jr. of Hager City, Wis. Sytle was found dead in the home.

RIP OFFICER SCHNEIDER. THIS YEAR IS NOT STARTING OUT WELL REGARDING POLICE FATALITIES. PLEASE KEEP THE THOUGHT OF GOING HOME EACH DAY TO YOUR LOVING FAMILIES BEFORE EACH SHIFT.
