Fan Assaults Seattle Cop at NFL Game

December 29, 2011  |

Police say a man attending Saturday's Seahawks game assaulted an officer, knocking him unconscious.

A man sitting in the wrong seat became belligerent and confrontational with a staff member at Century Link stadium, at which point a Seattle police officer intervened and tried to escort the man out of the stadium, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

As they were leaving, police say the man punched the officer in the chest and rammed him into a cement wall. The officer hit his head and fell to the ground, but police say the suspect continued striking him at least three times in the head.
