Fallen Mich. Officer Receives Congressional Honor

December 19, 2011  |

Family members of fallen Jackson (Mich.) Police officer James Bonneau accepted a lofty congressional honor for the brave actions of their son, who was killed in the line of duty almost two years ago.

U.S. Rep. Tim Walberg presented Marc and Amy Bonneau with the Law Enforcement Congressional Badge of Bravery.

Officer Bonneau was shot inside a home, after responding to a call of domestic trouble on March 9, 2010. The suspect was fatally shot by another officer.
