Denver PD 'Regrets' Officers' Occupy Texts

To one Denver police officer, Occupy Denver protesters were "retards." To another, "wimps." To another, "just down right stupid."
A 30-page volume of car-to-car text messages released Wednesday by the Denver Police Department shows — in occasionally unflattering detail — the behind-the-scenes attitudes and frustrations of officers assigned to patrol Occupy Denver protests.
In a statement accompanying the messages' release, police Lt. Matt Murray said the department "regrets the tenor and tone of some of these texts." Denver Mayor Michael Hancock said the messages represented "very bad judgment on behalf of a few
