Man Shot by Colo. Cops Had Replica Gun

A man shot by Fort Collins (Colo.) Police was carrying a plastic firearm in his waistband on Friday when he was shot by officers told him to keep his hands away from his waistband.
Officers responding to a man-with-a-gun call encountered Scott Mendias, 41, at 2 p.m. on Friday. Officer Michael Crosland fired at Mendias when he reached for the weapon, reports The Coloradoan.
