November 23, 2011
|
An assault charge filed against Seattle Police Officer James J. Lee will be dismissed after an outside expert determined he acted properly based on newly provided information, the City Attorney's Office announced today.
Lee was charged with fourth-degree assault in April after he was captured on video last year repeatedly kicking a teenage suspect inside a convenience store. He had been scheduled to go on trial Jan. 24, reports the Seattle Times.
