Ill. SRO Removed for Role In Sexting Case
November 21, 2011

A Lake Forest (Ill.) Police officer has been removed from Deer Path Middle School for his role in a sexting scandal that resulted in the resignation of the principal.
On Sunday, the school board accepted the resignation of Principal Jeff Steinert, who allegedly send a series of vulgar, harassing messages to a 22-year-old college student intern in 2008.
The officer apparently made inappropriate remarks to the same intern, "asking her about what kinds of guys she likes, pornography and sex toys," reports the Chicago Tribune.
