Los Angeles Police officers wounded a machete-wielding man who slashed a patron at a taco truck, took the truck on a joyride, and shook off an attempt to subdue him with a stun gun.
The man attacked the victim who was dining at the truck at about 4 a.m. Saturday on Beverly Boulevard. After whacking the man, the attacker jumped into the truck, pulled the bleeding victim inside and drove off.
Responding officers reached the scene where the man crashed the truck at Beverly and Berendo Street. The officers ordered the man out of the truck. Officers then shot and wounded the man, after several deployments of their TASERs.

Rodney King shook off the tazer and pulled out the leads. The lady CHP officer on scene wanted to shoot him (like the LAPD did to this guy). The LAPD told the lady officer that they had control and would handle the situation; they protected him from being shot. It looks like they learned their lesson.
