A New York State Police officer was shot in the face with a BB gun and two Cortland Police officers were hit by glass shards during a stand-off on Sunday with an 18-year-old man.

Patrick Cobane has been accused of a dozen charges including three felonies, eight misdemeanors and a violation after Sunday's incident. Officers were called, after Cobane apparently began fighting with people who had a restraining order against him.

At one point, he barricaded himself in the house, held a knife to his throat, and refused to come out until police left. The officers, who were joined by Cortland County Sheriff's deputies, forced open the door. Cobane shot the trooper twice. He was then taken into custody, after officers used a TASER to subdue him.
