Ill. Parolee Fired on Cops During 11-Mile Chase
October 12, 2011
|
A Chicago man released from prison last summer for shooting at a suburban police officer during a high-speed chase faces similar charges for leading Chicago and Illinois state police on an 11-mile chase while firing on pursuing officers earlier this week.
Chicago police said that Terrell Phagan was behind the wheel of a green Chevrolet van that led a frantic chase through several several South Side neighborhoods as Phagan took shots at officers. No officers or motorists were injured.
He was arrested after van crashed in the parking lot of a Bronzeville neighborhood highrise building near his home.
