Man Struck, Killed by Fla. Cop Was Likely Intoxicated

The pedestrian struck and killed by a Mount Dora (Fla.) Police officer on Saturday night was likely intoxicated as he walked in the middle of the roadway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Officer Barry Strykowski was heading home after a 12-hour shift in his patrol car, when he struck 31-year-old Scott Ferguson. The officer was traveling north on Royal Trails Road in Eustis. The officer has been on the force for 14 months.
