Vermont Cop Retains Job After DUI
October 06, 2011
|
A Winooski (Vt.) Police officer will retain his job, following a drunk driving conviction, the agency has announced.
City Manager Katherine Decarreau declined to say whether Cpl. Jason Nokes would remain on administrative leave, go back on patrol, or work in some other role.
Nokes, 40, had a blood alcohol content of 0.429 percent—more than five times the legal limit of 0.08 percent—when a Vermont state trooper found the off-duty Nokes slumped over the wheel of his truck Aug. 5 in the median of Interstate 89 in Colchester.
