The Detroit Police officer who was captured on video punching an unruly casino patron has been placed on restrictive, no-gun duty during the investigation into the incident.

Surveillance footage from July 30 at the MGM Casino shows Officer Arthur Dudal escorting Patrick Poisson, 38, out of the casino. Officer Dudal lands right hook to Poisson's jaw, and punches him a second time as he falls to the floor. It appears that Poisson raised his right hand toward the officer prior to the first punch.

Detroit Police Chief Ralph Godbee Jr. will submit findings of the investigation to the Wayne County Prosecutor's Officer.
