A Woburn (Mass.) Police officer was shot several times during a jewelry heist this morning in the Four Corners area. Businesses were told to lock their doors, following police response to the scene.
The shooting, which occurred during a robbery at Musto Jewelers, comes about eight months after anther jewelry robbery in which a veteran Woburn PD officer was fatally shot.
In that attempted robbery, paroled triple-lifer Dominic Cinelli gunned down veteran officer John "Jack" McGuire in a Kohl's parking lot. Cinelli also died in the shootout, which prompted massive reform on the state Parole Board.
