Veteran Pittsburgh Cop Allegedly Operated a Prostitution Service
August 30, 2011

A Pittsburgh Police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave, following charges that he operated a prostitution service.
Officer Michael Johns, a 16-year veteran of the force, allegedly rented vehicles for the prostitutes, allowed them to inject heroin in his house, and paid for online ads promoting their work.
An internal investigation into Officer Johns began in April, after a traffic stop of one of the vehicles he had rented.
