Fla. Jail Deputy Accused of Creating 'Orgy'-Like Atmosphere
August 05, 2011
|
A Broward (Fla.) Sheriff's Office corrections deputy has been accused of inappropriate behavior toward female inmates in a case with claims of topless, dancing inmates, an "orgy''-like atmosphere, and a text-messaged photo of a penis alongside a toothbrush.
The sheriff's office found Dep. Mason Chibnick in violation of its code of ethics, and cited failure to use good judgment, and engaging in conduct unbecoming of an employee. He was given a counseling slip advising him of the policies, and he was transferred to an all-male jail at his own request.
The incidents occured at the Paul Rein Detention Facility in Pompano.

Yes it was bad judgement on Dep. Mason's part. But does this correctional facility allow male officers to work in the female units? If they do, the BCSC need to change their policy. Bad enough we have females work the male units and such inuppropriate things occur.
