VIDEO: LAPD Officers Pull Jumper from Ledge
A group of Los Angeles Police officers saved a suicidal man who had climbed onto the ledge on the 13th floor of a downtown Los Angeles building.
The man, who is in his 30s, was distraught over a breakup with his girlfriend. In footage captured by a bystander, the man can be seen dangling from the edge, as officers grab him by the jeans. As officers attempted to pull him to safety, he reportedly tried to bite the arm of the officer who was holding onto him.
Eventually, the man can be seen struggling to return to the ledge. Officers handcuffed him to a fence that was later cut down by firefighters.
