Maryland Officer Charged with Attempted Murder

A Mount Rainer (Md.) Police officer has been indicted on 12 counts of attempted murder and sexual assault for allegedly luring a man to his home and shooting him earlier this month.
Investigators believe Officer Gene Gillette lured John Hall to his house on July 2 with the promise that he was going to be in a porn video. When Hall arrived, there were no girls. Officer Gillette attempted to force Hall to perform sexual favors, and when he ran, Officer Gillette shot him.
