N.D. Officer's Memorial Draws Almost 2,000

Hundreds of well-wishers lined the streets of Bismarck and Mandan today to pay their respects and join the funeral procession for the first North Dakota law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty in 15 years.
The procession made its way through Bismarck-Mandan to Veterans Cemetery after a two-hour funeral at the Bismarck Civic Center attended by an estimated 1,700 people.
Bismarck PD's Sgt. Steve Kenner was shot while approaching a van at 10:38 p.m. on July 8.
