Mexico Condemns Border Patrol Shooting

June 23, 2011  |

Mexican President Felipe Calderon apparently confronted U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the shooting death of a Mexican by a U.S. Border Patrol agent.

Calderon released the news via his Twitter account. Both leaders were in Guatemala for a summit earlier this week.

"In Guatemala I protested to Secretary Clinton about the death of the Mexican in Tijuana," according to the Calderon tweet sent Wednesday night. "I demanded punishment for those responsible."

The shooting occurred after three men crawled through a sewage-crusted drain and jumped the border fence to get into San Diego, Calif. The Border Patrol agents who encountered them captured one of the men. The agents were apparently then pelted by rocks and sticks. In response, an agent shot one of the rock-throwers in the head, a fatal wound that knocked him off the fence and back into Mexico.

Mr. Caldron who the hell are you to demand sh-- from the USA. You and your FU country is so out of control...... but you are going to make demands of us.
I would have shot the bastard for throwing rocks at me too, I'm sure that it wasn't pea gravel. I'm so sick of hearing about Mexico and their BS. Crime from Mexico is here in the USA and if it's not drugs, prostitution, theft, corruption then it's kidnapping for ransom etc....Give me a fuc---- break you idiot. I think you are either out of touch completely with what is going on or you are bought off like the rest of your country.

Rottiedog1 @ 6/23/2011 10:47 PM

What's distressing is that the United States, and her Highness the Secretary of State didn't tell Claderon to shut up. On top of that, it's likely the Border Patrol agent involved will be prosecuted by the US Attorney like the two other BP Agents many years back. This is ridiculous that we have become subservient to a third world country, simply to be politically correct. We have lost our will to lead and the US is being taken over by Calderon's drug cartel's. Makes me sick and is a disgrace to the men and women who fight to protect this country and the collective butts of the politicians.

Tschako @ 6/23/2011 10:50 PM

Remarkably incomplete reporting. I heard that the "rock" was a chunk of concrete aimed at another Agent. It seems like a good, 10-ring shooting. I can't take Calderon's demands seriously when he can't even deal with his own country's crime, narcotics, corruption and class system that encourages the underclass to violate this country's laws, and leave Mexico.

Doc @ 6/23/2011 11:47 PM

President Calderon is demanding that the ones that shot an illegal who was assaulting our law enforcement officers on our soil be punished. Calderon and Oblowme have really lost their ever loving minds. But knowing the spineless bastard that we have for a pretender-n-thief, he will punish those agents for doing their jobs and Calderon will be happy.

Such a fucked up world that we live in when the criminals have more rights then John Q Public. Somebody needs to have their head ripped off and re-fried beans poured down their necks.

Morning Eagle @ 6/24/2011 1:52 AM

You guys have already said my thoughts but I still feel like putting in my two bits. It is no wonder calderon thinks he can make demands of us. Look how he has been wined and dined and honored to by our illustrious "leaders" including a standing O from congress, when what they should have done was tell him to just shut up and go clean up the mess in his own country. His anti-Americanism matches that of emperor obama, queen hillary, and court jester holder. Those three are abysmal excuses for the top positions in what is left of our government. Trouble is those three sterling patriots are likely to kiss his a$$ and railroad the BP Agents involved. Head shot - good shooting I say. Throwing rocks or chunks of concrete IS deadly force. At least he won’t be eligible for a free pass to come back to testify against anyone and he won't be able to vote for obama next election. Oh pardon me, thanks to ACORN there were a lot of dead people that voted in the 2008/2010 elections weren't there? But holder's DOJ couldn't find the time to investigate any of that minor stuff. On a Border Wars program this evening an agent said it is estimated approximately 10,000 try to come across every day and relatively few are apprehended. That, ladies and gentlemen is a bonafide invasion by a foreign country and calderon directly and publicly encourages them to keep coming, and oh by the way, don't forget to send money home. Yet our top officials and lots of ones lower on the totem pole continue to bow and scrape to him. Disgusting to say the least. Anyway, border security is a disgrace thanks directly to the treasonous policies from the POS in the White House that effectively handcuffs the field agents that put their lives on the line very time they go to work.

Jeff @ 6/24/2011 4:32 AM

I hope for change.....November 2012. What about you?

Scott @ 6/24/2011 6:37 AM

It takes a strong leader in the White House to get respect from other nations. Ever wonder why Eisenhower never had an issue with the border. Google "Operation wet back". Ever wonder why Iran released the hostages back in January 1981. Could the fact be Ronald Reagan was in the process of being sworn in?? Strong leaders send clear messages without having to go on world wide apology tours. Their presence alone says it all. When the Federal Govt joins Colderon and others like him in a law suit files against the Sovereign State of Arizona, We the People need to rise up, Tell the Govt to stand down, demand the Constitution be followed, support our Law Enforcement when they are attacked, protect our own borders and vote. If this doesn't work then we in Law Enforcment and those in the Military and every American need to step up and defend our Constitution from ALL ENEMIES, Foreighn and domestic.

Rick @ 6/24/2011 9:02 AM

Our officials are working with Canada and Mexico to merge the US into a North American Union and then an American Union (with south america), that is why they don't want the border closed. GOP candidate Rick Perry agrees with Vicente Fox on having an "open border" with Mexico. This is why the SPP issued a plan for a border that goes around the entire North American continent. SPP.gov was up and running under Bush, and was recently converted to a Commerce Dept. website and then taken down totally. Only the Canadian government website is still up.

Frank @ 6/24/2011 9:47 AM

If you had a decent country President S***head people wouldn't be running to the USA at all. But your corrupt Government has loss total control to the Cartels. You should really take alook in the mirror. Face it your country sucks!

A cop @ 6/24/2011 10:43 AM

Good shoot in my book--rocks are deadly missiles. Calderon is another meely-mouthed BS artist who has no moral authority to tell the U.S. anything. But if Clinton had any balls she's slap him in his lying face when he said it. Mexico is a 3rd world mess--plant seriously-big land-mines all along the border and simply replace those that go off. Problem solved.

Lisa @ 6/24/2011 11:17 AM

It's really a shame when the United States takes ordered from another country. Do they supply the KY for us to bend over and stick it to us? By any means possible should these agents be able to protect themselves against these thugs. Rock and boards with nails can be just as deadly as a bullet.

It's too bad I was not born on US soil because I would run for president and put in a fence then 1/4 mile of landmines on the US side. Give them a warning sign in different languages. The only people we would have to employ to guard the fence is the folks that pick them up (what's left) and replant a mine. Problem solved. Note: the mines would be made in the US! Keep jobs in the United States.

Come to the US legally..... like I did and like my relations did before me! Oh, and English should be a requirement before Citizenship or Legal Permenant Resident status is issued. Oh yeah.... like I had to!

Frenchy @ 6/24/2011 12:45 PM

Simple....STAY ON YOUR SIDE OF THE RIVER!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack Betz @ 6/24/2011 5:05 PM

Sounds like an action long overdue. Lock and Load, fire at will then shoot the son of a bitcjh behind will.

Born to be a COP @ 6/25/2011 3:06 AM

Mr. Calderon. Who will punish the dirtbags from your country who have killed our brother officers ? NOBODY because law enforcement in your country is corrupt, scared, etc. etc. etc. Stop being such a political clown.
