Milwaukee Officer Shoots Knife Wielding Suspect

June 06, 2011  |

A suspect is in critical condition Monday morning, after being shot by a Milwaukee Police officer. Investigators say the man charged at an officer with a knife, leading to the third officer-involved shooting in just a week.

Sunday night the District 7 officer was called to check out a home reported to have some family trouble.

When he arrived at the home near 37th and Burleigh, he was confronted by a man who charged at him with a knife. The officer was forced to use his weapon and shot the suspect.
